Temporary workforce retention was only at 38% for Gestamp Tallent Newton Aycliffe. To overcome this we worked closely with NC Group and EPNE to develop a unique Gestamp induction programme.
The result was the development of a bespoke induction programme, which was designed to ensure that all new starts were able to demonstrate the skills and behaviours that were required on site.
Through the partnership and the implementation of the new induction process, over 400 staff were recruited over a 2 year period.
The results saw a significant increase in temporary workforce retention, rising to 72% and staying around the same level for the following year.
